I’m going to walk with you through a beautiful meadow of meditation in heaven. This meadow is unlike any on earth, because for each person who steps into it, it comes to life in a special way–one that is particularly appealing to them.

At first it just looks like a green meadow, stretching as far as the eye can see. The grass is perfect, but there doesn’t seem to be anything else to it. That’s relaxing, but I know you want to see more.

As you take your first step into the meadow, you see beautiful little flowers coming up all around you, opening up to the light with their perfect, fresh, soft petals blowing in the breeze. Butterflies flutter about and dance on the flowers. You now hear the soothing sound of a brook flowing through the meadow, playfully rippling over rocks and pebbles. A little farther away you see some deer gracefully moving about.

This is just the start of this scene coming to life. As you focus on it, you’ll see more. Though this meadow is full of life, everything about it is relaxing. You can lie down and sleep, or wade in the brook, or run through the field. Do as you please. This is your little corner of heaven to enjoy right now.

Psalm 19:14 KJV

Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.

Come before Me in stillness and quietness, and meditate on My eternalness, My timelessness. Consider that I have always existed, and consider that I will always exist. Think of all the earthly lives that have come and gone from this earth life as I have watched and cared for each one. Think of all the times and seasons that have come to pass as I ordered each in its place. Think how even the whole universe cannot contain Me.

Meditate on My strength and power, how I am God above all. And then think about how I care for you, how your times are in My hands, and how I have a perfect and wonderful plan for your life. Think about how there is no need to carry your burdens on your own, or to be in such a spirit of hurry. I was here before you ever got to Earth, and I’ll still be here when you leave. I have a far-reaching plan that stretches beyond the bounds of eternity, and I am well able to take care of My creation, My work, My plan, and you as well.

Psalm 119:97-99 KJV

Oh how I love your law! It is my meditation all the day. Your commandment makes me wiser than my enemies, for it is ever with me. I have more understanding than all my teachers, for your testimonies are my meditation.

Psalm 23:1-3 KJV

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters.  He restores my soul.
